Straight out of college in the early 1980s, Jackie MacMullan blew through barriers and into locker rooms as a sports reporter at a time when women were almost unheard of in the press boxes of professional sports. She went on to become one of the country’s most-respected sportswriters, earning the trust of legends including Larry Bird, Magic Johnson and Shaquille O’Neal. Please join us on Jan. 24, when Jackie comes to the MMA’s 41st Annual Meeting & Trade Show as the guest speaker at the Women Elected Municipal Officials Leadership Luncheon, where she will share her story of how she succeeded in a male-dominated field.

Description
On Jan. 25, the MMA will close out its 2020 Annual Meeting & Trade Show with a hard-rocking bang: a Saturday evening celebration featuring Living on a Bad Name, perhaps the world’s best-known Bon Jovi tribute band. Boston-based Living on a Bad Name is the only cover band ever chosen to fill in for the real Bon Jovi in concert. They’ll take you back to a time when people were “Livin’ on a Prayer,” wearing big hair and belting out power ballads. So indulge your ’80s nostalgia, hit the dance floor and sing along to some of the era’s biggest stadium anthems! And enjoy the Tastes of New England, a buffet dinner featuring the region’s signature foods!
