Newly Elected Councillor Training 2019
The Massachusetts Municipal Councillors’ Association will host its second newly elected councillor training session for incoming councillors and aldermen after the Nov. 5 city elections. The conference will be held at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. The conference will include three breakout sessions, on municipal budgeting, constituent services, and navigating the role of a city councillor. “You’ve Been Elected – Now What?” will be the theme of the keynote address, which will focus on introducing councillors and aldermen to the resources they have in their cities and throughout the Commonwealth, including the MMA and MMCA. While the training is aimed at newly elected councillors and aldermen, veterans are also welcome.
