Spring 2023 MMA Legislative Breakfasts

Registration is now open for the MMA’s Spring series of Legislative Breakfast Meetings, which will be held on March 17 and 24.

Each year, the MMA hosts a series of meetings in communities across the Commonwealth to give local leaders, legislators, and MMA staff the opportunity to network in an informal setting and learn about and discuss issues of importance at the local and state level.

MMA Legislative staff will discuss the new legislative session that kicked-off in January, which will have significant implications for cities and towns.

Topics at the breakfasts will include the fiscal 2024 state budget and many early session priorities such as a permanent option for remote meetings, municipal and public safety building authority, Ch. 90 roads and bridges funding, housing, environmental infrastructure, and much more. City and town officials from every community are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to discuss issues of importance with MMA staff and legislators.

A light breakfast and coffee will be provided at 8:30 a.m., followed by presentations and Q&A. The meetings will end by 10:30 a.m.

Meetings will be held on the following Fridays and at the following locations:

March 17:

Fairhaven- Council on Aging (COA) building; 229 Huttleston Ave, Fairhaven, MA 02719

Tyngsborough-  Old Town Hall; 10 Kendall Road, Tyngsborough, MA 01879

March 24:

The MMA is advising in-person meeting attendees to keep up with the latest COVID vaccines for which they are eligible. We highly recommend that attendees take an at-home rapid antigen test prior to attending, and not attend if they have any COVID symptoms or if a household member has tested positive for COVID. These protocols are subject to change based on the latest public health data and guidance.

Please keep in mind that adding to the calendar or selecting your registration option, does NOT mean you are registered. You must check out the cart using the 'proceed to check out' button at the bottom or this page, and then check out the cart.
