This year’s MMMA Spring Conference will feature a CAN’T-MISS day-long program on Thursday, June 1, titled “Manage Yourself, Lead Others.”

Think of the leaders you most admire. They seem to easily juggle competing demands, confidently motivate their teams to achieve optimum results, effectively navigate across the organization, and never lose their composure. These executives make the job of leading others look simple, but it’s not.

 Designed to help managers become more effective leaders, this powerful program delves into the fundamentals of managing yourself, leading teams, and motivating others to accomplish your organization’s goals. As you explore your own personality, strengths and weaknesses, you will begin to evolve a leadership style that is uniquely yours. You will return to work with newfound confidence and an action plan for continuing your growth as a leader.

The session will be led by Harvard University’s Margaret Andrews, who currently teaches several courses in the Continuing Education Program. You can read more about Andrews here.

The conference will begin on Thursday, June 1, at 9:30 a.m. and conclude at 4 p.m. That evening will feature an outdoor reception. Friday’s sessions will begin at 9:30 a.m. and the conference will wrap up with lunch at noon.

Friday will feature an MMA Legislative Update with Executive Director Geoff Beckwith and a members-only Contract Session with Attorney D.M. Moschos.

Conference  registration fees are:

Full Conference, including Thursday evening reception $295

Full Conference, excluding Thursday evening reception $250

Thursday Program Only,  $170

There are two room options when booking. A Mansion room is adjacent to the meeting facilities and is located on the oceanfront side of the property. These rooms are $350 per night. A Villages room is a one bedroom 'Britterige' villa located on the golf course side of the resort and is $250 per night. These rooms are closest to the indoor pool and bike path, and offer more room for anyone bringing their family or who wants a little more room and doesn’t mind being a little distance from the conference. All conference activities will take place in the Mansion.

Ocean Edge is fully booked during the time of our conference, so make sure to book your room by the deadline or even earlier to make sure you get first choice of your accommodations.

The MMA is advising in-person meeting attendees to keep up with the latest COVID vaccines for which they are eligible. We highly recommend that attendees take an at-home rapid antigen test prior to attending, and not attend if they have any COVID symptoms or if a household member has tested positive for COVID. These protocols are subject to change based on the latest public health data and guidance.

Cancellation Deadline

The non-COVID related cancellation deadline is May 24.  To cancel your registration, please send an email to [email protected].  After May 24, refunds will only be considered for COVID related cancellations.
