MMMA Women Leading Government Meeting- Amherst

Featured speakers will be Amy Martin, director of the Weissman Center for Leadership at Mount Holyoke College, and Al Roberts, director of the University of Massachusetts School of Public Policy. They will discuss the challenges women face as they choose a career in public sector municipal management. There will be a facilitated networking session for interaction with other attendees. The event is being sponsored by UMass Women into Leadership (UWiL), a competitive fellowship program that accepts approximately 30 students a year and offers professional development and training to its students, who come from a range of backgrounds and majors. The event is free, but registration is required. Any municipal employee interested in advancing his or her career may register. The mission of Women Leading Government is to encourage women to pursue management positions; everyone is welcome to attend this and all WLG events.
