Women Leading Government will meet on Nov. 3 at Pine Ridge Golf Club in Oxford.
The program will feature facilitator and life coach Amy Goober, who will present the interactive session “Unstoppable You: Claim Your Worth, Find Your Voice, Own Your Time.”
In the three-part interactive session, Goober will teach strategies to take your own inventory, set goals, vocalize your ideas and defeat opposition. She will also address work-life balance and how to create separation between your office and home self.
The cost of the program is $25 and includes a light breakfast and lunch.
Women Leading Government is an initiative of the Massachusetts Municipal Management Association. WLG events are open to all staff in appointed positions in local government.
Following lunch, there will be a networking event where MMMA members will join WLG members who want to explore a Mentoring Program. Take this opportunity to meet fellow WLG members and potential mentors, both male and female. Mentors and mentees will be matched at a future date.
Although we will no longer be checking vaccination status, the MMA is advising that all attendees stay up to date with the latest COVID vaccines for which they are eligible. In order to keep our meetings as safe as possible, we highly recommend all attendees take an at-home rapid antigen test prior to attending.
You are asked not to attend this meeting if you have any COVID symptoms or if a household member has tested positive for COVID, regardless of how you test.
The MMA encourages attendees to wear a mask, if that is your preference.
