MMPA Labor Relations Seminar, Devens
The Massachusetts Municipal Personnel Association will hold its annual Labor Relations Seminar on Oct. 26 at the Devens Conference Center. In addition to a keynote presentation and a labor law update, the seminar will feature three concurrent workshops, on seven “bulletproof” steps to documentation, taking your negotiation skills to the next level, and behavior interviewing. The meeting will begin with a legislative update from MMA Senior Legislative Analyst Lisa Adams, followed by the presentation of the Emil Skop Award, which recognizes a human resources professional who has made a positive impact on the MMA and its members. Seminar participants will include members of the MMPA and Massachusetts Municipal Management Association as well as mayors, police and fire chiefs, public works directors, labor relations professionals, and other interested parties. The MMPA is an MMA-affiliated organization that provides resources and information on municipal personnel and labor issues.
